APPLICATION DUE DATES

·        Grass and legumes………………..May 15th

·        Small grains……………………….June 1st

·        Dry Beans…………………………June 25th

·        Absolute Deadline, all crops……...June 30th

·        Fall seeded perennial crops…….....30 days after planting.

 

Late applications can be assessed a $15 late fee.  The Wyoming Seed Certification Service reserves the right to refuse any applications post marked after June 30th.

 

Applications need to be filled out completely prior to returning them to this office.  Please include a detailed map and a seed tag.  Incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant.  We will be glad to answer questions concerning applications.  Call us at 307-754-9815 or 1-800-923-0080.

 

·        April

·        Renewals are sent to contractors and producers of perennial crops.  Please check each renewal for changes or errors and return them to the office with your comments at your earliest convenience.  This is an excellent opportunity to make sure your information agrees with your contractor or producer and with information on file in this office.

 

·        June

·        Seedling inspections on perennial crops.

·        Grass seed inspections begin.

 

·        July

·        Final field inspections begin.  Alfalfa seed producers will receive post cards indicating an approximate time frame for inspection of their fields.

·        Barley inspections begin.  Fields should have off-types and wild oats removed prior to inspection.

·        Grass seed producers should call and request an inspection one to two weeks prior to harvest.

·        First inspections on dry beans.

 

·        August

·        Final inspections on most crops.

·        Windrow inspections on dry beans start.  Please call the WSCS office to request an inspection after cutting the beans and removing the nightshade.
